EASTER THROUGH PENTECOST OFFERING 2023

NEW LIFE and NEW SPIRIT at SUNCOAST MCC

New Life and New Spirit! That is what we are experiencing these days at SunCoast MCC. After many challenging years of a pandemic, and a devastating hurricane, we are claiming God’s blessings in this year of change and growth.

We are receiving new members, opening our worship to online members and visitors, celebrating with Spirit-filled music and preaching, reaching out as never before to our Community Partners, and fulfilling our mission of becoming a place of truth, trust and transformation. Offering a warm welcome to all!  God is giving us new opportunities to serve this community, which is growing and changing as never before.

Part of our Strategic Plan is to renovate our meeting space, to improve it, and add a social hall for Sundays, meetings and to offer to outside groups.

Our Board and many volunteers have already donated hundreds of hours towards this project, saving us time and money.

Please join us as we re-create our space and make space for others . . .

We ask that you consider giving an additional gift during this Eastertide season allowing us to continue being a place of hope, love and acceptance in our community.

Social Justice Virtual Book Club March Meeting May 2023

amancalledove2

In recognition of May being Mental Health Awareness month, we have chosen a novel that deals with the depression borne of grief. Despite the seriousness of the topic, in A Man Called Ove, author Frederik Backman employs humor and sensitivity to show how engaging with those around us helps us move forward and find meaning following loss. A truly outstanding book! The zoom discussion will be Monday, May 15 at 7:00pm.

Unclutter Your Soul

Join us for Spiritual Practice in May (9, 16, 23 and 30), Tuesday mornings at 10:30. You can join either in person or virtually using the link below.

We will be using Trina McNeilly’s book by the same name. She said, “Our minds and hearts are crowded...we stumble over unrealistic expectations of ourselves. Emotional pain, anxiety and everyday stresses are a constant “white noise” in our souls.  With grace and humor, Trina helps us face some of the unnecessary mess of life in order to rise above it.  Let’s open the window, turn on the lights, breathe deeply!

Join Rev. Nancy for a time of prayer and sharing as we overcome the clutter of our souls! If you would like to purchase the book, you can order one from Amazon or see Kim. The cost is $15.
